On the 4th May, 1st Abberley and Witley Brownies and Guides climbed the Abberley Clock Tower for their 'Top of the Tower' . Everyone made it to the top, despite some worries, and enjoyed a good view from the top. It is 100ft up to the balcony, so we kept to the spirit of the centenary!
Other groups are welcome to climb the tower - ''100 pennies for 100ft for the 100th year''. If you are interested then contact Mary Roach, or go direct to the local historian, Jo Roche, on recharge@portopol.fsnet.co.uk .
On the night 8/9 May Brownies took over Hindlip Police College for a sleepover to cover the 'In the Dark' element of the Adventure 100. See also police press report - click HERE.
Whilst there everyone made a 100 shape for the police helicopter to photograph, so we covered the 'Shape 100' element. When the photo comes back we will claim our extra points!!
