Himley Hall Garden Party - June 6th 2010
Among the things there for our entertainment were swingboats, an icecream van, croquet and boating on the lake. Round by the house were a Memory Lane Camp and inside the house a Centenary Exhibition. The exhibition was very popular, especially when it rained! As the rain stopped we queued to go in and enjoyed watching the Ladies’ Morris Dancers, with clogs and half-hoops. There was even a chance to join in!
Time had gone by very quickly and soon the winner of the Lucky Programme Draw was announced and clearing up began. The gazebos were taken down and all our gear carried back to the coach for the journey home,

It was a brilliant event and many thanks go to the organisers and the Trefoil Guild who helped.
We were pleased to meet up with Laura Pye again, the Midlands Centenary Heritage Co-ordinator, who gave us so much help with the exhibition at Hartlebury, and who was responsible for this exhibition. It consisted of posters from the various counties covering the exhibition themes and table displays.
