‘PARTY IN THE PARK’ 2011.

Every year Wychavon District Council organise the annual ‘Party in the Park’ in the 3 Market Towns of the District (Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore), on 3 consecutive days in August.

Evesham Division had their bright yellow gazebo to form a PR stand and Rangers, YL’s and Adult Leaders provided free activities for the many children who came along to the Parks in Evesham and Pershore.

Decorating little cakes was a great favourite as was decorating finger puppets and colouring animal face masks (thank goodness for Baker Ross as you need quick and instant activities).

We were all kept very busy with children constantly queuing to take part in the activities. Many names were taken for all sections of Guiding.

The one remark from several adults was quite a shock especially after our high profile centenary year. “We didn’t know that Girlguiding still existed.”

After seeing such a good display at both venues, they certainly know now that Girlguiding is alive, modern and meets the needs of all ages!
